Freshman women's volleyball standout Khamis Berneker earned her first ever Charger of the Week during Thursday's practice after outstanding performances in Cypress victories over Riverside and Saddleback (Oct. 2-8). 

Berneker began the week with 8 kills and 10 digs in the Chargers' sweep of the Riverside College Tigers. She followed that up with a game-high 16 kills and 9 digs to lead the No. 18 Chargers to victory over the then No. 7 Saddleback Gauchos, 3-1. 

The Long Beach Millikan alumna currently ranks third on the team in kills per set, while leading the team with 141 total digs this season.
