CYPRESS, CA – Head Women's Volleyball Coach, Nancy Welliver,  has already solidified herself as one of the top volleyball coaches in the state. Now in her 23^rd season as a head coach, she has amassed 15 winning seasons, 4 Conference Championships, 5 State Tournament appearances, and 2 Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year Awards. After the Chargers' 3-2 victory over Long Beach City College in the Cerritos Invitational quarterfinal, Coach Welliver can add 300 career victories to her list of accolades. "I love what I'm doing and it was fun to get my 300^th win against Long Beach City since they were my first ever rival back when I used to coach for Cerritos," Welliver said.

Coach Welliver began her head coaching career at Fullerton College where she led the Hornets to an OEC Championship and State Runner-Up in her 2^nd season. She then moved on to lead Cerritos to a 14-4 overall record and a Conference Championship in her first season with the Falcons. Welliver joined the Chargers in 2000, after 3 seasons at Cerritos. Since her arrival at Cypress College she has led the women's volleyball program to 2 OEC Championships and 13 postseason appearances while boasting a 225-157 overall record.

With the Chargers currently ranked 8^th in the state, it looks as if Coach Welliver has a chance to collect a 3^rd OEC Championship and make another postseason run.
