RIVERSIDE, CA – The Lady Chargers swim team completed the 2018 Orange Empire Conference Swimming & Diving Championships hosted at Riverside City College on Saturday. Sophomore Kayleen Bretz and freshman Jordyn Morris qualified for the 2018 CCCAA State Championship Meet, each recording top-16 times in the state for three events. Bretz and Morris join defending state champion diver, Alejandra Gomez, as the only Charger participants at the State Championship meet hosted by De Anza College from May 3-5.

Bretz posted qualifying times in the 200 Free (2:02), 500 Free (5:18.88), and 1650 Free (18:39.59). She grabbed fourth place in all three events at the OEC Championships, scoring 45 points for the Chargers. 

Morris qualified in the 50 Free (25.02), 100 Free (54.12), and 200 Free (1:56.90). She finished fourth in the 100 Free and second in the 200 Free at the OEC Championships, also scoring 45 points for Cypress. 

The Lady Chargers finished fifth as a team at the OEC Championships with 339 total points.
