Chargers Swim & Dive Finishes 8th in Mt. Sac Invitational

Mt. Sac- The Cypress Chargers swim & dive team finished eighth out of seventeen schools participating in the Mt. Sac Invitational (Feb. 19-21).

Men's dive was led by Danny Jordan, who finished fourth in the one-meter and second in the three-meter. Women's dive dominated the three-meter with Leigh Hodgson placing first, Paige Hunter taking second, Amelia Almasy third, and Mckenna Cote finishing fourth. 

For men's swim, Sean Lundin finished sixth in the 1650 yard freestyle (19:17.23) and Shane Chalmers finished seventh (19:17.64). Women's swim was able to set three Cypress College school records. Emilee Yates set school records in the 400-yard individual medley (5:39.17) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:55.52). Amanda Kirk set another school record for Cypress in the 200-yard butterfly (2:45.59). Aimee Espey was able to top off a strong showing for the women with a fifth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (26.18).
