PASADENA, Calif. --- The Cypress Chargers came up short this weekend at the Pasadena Invitational, finishing 14th overall out of 22 schools.  Quynh Hoang led the women's team with 20 points and helped the Lady Chargers finish 10th while the men's team finished 16th out of 22 schools.

Hoang scored 16 points in her impressive third place finish in the 200 Y Breaststroke, clocking a solid time of 2:54.95.  Hoang also finished 13th out of 70 swimmers with a highly respectable time of 29.17 in the 50 Y Butterfly.

Taylor Leach also made an impact for the Lady Chargers, scoring 16 points over the weekend with her most impressive swim coming in the 200 Y Backstroke.  Leach posted a solid time of 2:42.88 in the 200 Y Back and finished third place overall in the competition.

Isaac Lee and Mason Pauu were the only Charger men to score over the weekend.  Pauu scored seven points in the 3M Dive (107.65) and three points in the 1M Dive (115.65), while Lee scored five points in the 3M Diving event (94.65).

The Chargers will now prepare for the Diving Championships that take place on April 11-12, at El Camino College.
