HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. --- Aimee Espey finished first in the 100 Yard Freestyle (57.71) and third in the 50 Yard Free (26.11) this past weekend for the Lady Chargers Swim team.

Her third place finish in the 50 free was only a tenth of a second shy of a second place possibility while her first place finish in the 100 Free was finished with a second to spare in front of nine other competitors.

Esther Kim continued swimming at a high level and finished second out of 10 swimmers in the 100 Yard Breast.  Kim also placed fourth in the 100 Yard Butterfly for Cypress.

Another notable performance for the Lady Chargers was Nicole Wheelers respectable fourth place finish out of 10 swimmers in the 100 Yard IM.

Despite having some solid finishes and times, the Cypress women unfortunately fell short to Saddleback (101-153), Golden West (80-175) and Fullerton College (85.5-193.5) on Friday afternoon.

Cypress will practice hard for the next couple of weeks as they prepare for the Pasadena Invitational which takes place April 4-5 in Pasadena, Calif.
