Chargers Come Off Bye to Host Second Round of CCCAA Playoffs

CYPRESS, CA- Cypress women's soccer (13-2-4, 9-2-3 OEC) are set to host the Antelope Valley Marauders (15-3-4, 11-0-3 WSC) on Saturday, November 19th for the second round of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs.

The first weekend of postseason play will be held at Cypress College as the Chargers finish the regular season in third place in the Orange Empire Conference. The incoming opponent, Antelope Valley Marauders, ended their regular season in first place in the Western State Conference South standings. 

Cypress qualified for a bye while the Marauders beat Fullerton College Wednesday night, 3-1, to remain in the playoffs. The Chargers are coming off of a 2021-2022 season in which they made it to the CCCAA State Championship. Cypress defeated conference rivals Santiago Canyon and Saddleback along with El Camino and Fresno. The teams playoff run concluded with a championship loss to Hartnell. The Chargers are looking to replicate and expand on their previous season's success in the Saturday's secon round matchup with AVC on Saturday at 1PM. 

Details: Per CCCAA regulations, tickets will be $12 for Adults and $8 for Youth/Students.
