CYPRESS, CA- Cypress women's soccer (13-2-3, 9-2-2 OEC) won Wednesday's matchup with a 3-0 score over the Orange Coast Pirates (12-7-2, 5-7-1 OEC).
The first of three goals for the Chargers came on a free kick scored by Jassmin Ortiz from the top of the box.
Minutes later, Abigail Morales centered the ball for a pass to a wide open Celine Gehrig who scored to the top left of the net. The Chargers took an early 2-0 lead against the Pirates before the 20th minute.
Midway through the second half, the Chargers continued attacking the net. Defender, Presli Dillon, escaped the Pirates for the third and final goal for Cypress.
The Cypress women's soccer team maintained a strong defense and dominant scoring in the shutout performance against Orange Coast.
UP NEXT: The Chargers are scheduled to host Santiago Canyon Thursday, November 10th. Kick-off will be at 3PM.
