4 Cypress Women's Soccer Players Headed to the Next Level

CYPRESS, CA- The Cypress College women's soccer team is sending four sophomores to two California State Universities. Jordan Barber and Taleah Carter have signed with Cal State Dominguez Hills, while Morgan Patea and Audree Campos have signed with conference rival Cal State Los Angeles.

Jordan Barber is a defender out of Lakewood, CA and spent two seasons with the Chargers. Barber was the anchor to the strong Cypress defense as she led her team to an undefeated regular season in 2019. She was a First Team All-OEC selection in 2019 and a Second Team All-OEC selection in 2018. 

Taleah Carter is a midfielder from La Habra, CA. She is a 2x Second Team All-OEC selection and also excelled in the classroom earning Dean's Honor Roll. Carter will join Barber at California State Dominguez Hills in the fall to continue their education and athletic career. 

Morgan Patea is the first of two star Cypress forwards who are heading to California State Los Angles. Patea is a 2x First Team All-OEC selection. Patea led the team with 27 points as a Freshman scoring 9 goals and notching 9 assists. She followed her stellar performance in her sophomore season by leading the team in assists (9) and scoring 11 goals to total 31 points. 

Audree Campos is the second forward continuing her career at Cal State L.A. Campos has led the Chargers in scoring in each of her two seasons, scoring 10 goals in 2018 and 15 goals in 2019. Campos totaled 34 points on the season to lead the Chargers. Campos is a 2x First Team All-OEC selection.
