Women's Soccer: 8 Chargers Selected to All-Orange Empire Conference Team

CYPRESS, CA- The Chargers take home all-conference honors with 8 players selected to the All-Conference team and winning OEC conference coaching staff of the year.

Cypress women's soccer had the most players selected to All-Conference teams, with 4 Chargers on the 1st team and 4 more selected to the 2nd team. Audree Campos, Jordan Barber, Hunter Richmond, Brianna Perez, Taleah Carter, Kelly Lopez, Morgan Patea, and Nicolle Valdez represent the Chargers.

1st Team Selections:

Audree Campos is a forward from Garden Grove, CA. The sophomore leads the team in goals scored with 10. She has also has chipped in with 3 assists and has been the focal point of the offense this season.

Jordan Barber has been a fantastic defender for the Chargers this season. She is from Lakewood, CA and is in her second season with Cypress. Barber is a huge component to the dominate defense for the Chargers this season.

Hunter Richmond is as freshman from Long Beach, CA. The forward has scored 4 goals and assisted on 5 others in her first year at Cypress. She has started all 14 games and will be a big part of the offense for Cypress next season.

Brianna Perez is midfielder from La Mirada, CA. The freshman has been a game changer in the transition from defense to offense. She has moved the ball very well in her first year, and has 2 goals and an assist to show for it.

 

2nd Team Selections:

 

Taleah Carter is in her second season with Cypress. The midfielder is from La Habra High school and has exceled on the field and in the classroom. She has earned the Dean's Honor Roll list and is making her second appearance on the all-conference team.

Kelly Lopez is in her second year from Pacifica high school. The defender has had another stellar season, while adding some offense to her game. She has scored 2 goals and added 3 assists this season.

Morgan Patea is a sophomore from Anaheim, CA. The forward has been an incredible offensive threat this season. She leads the team in assists with 6, and has also scored 7 goals herself.

Nicolle Valdez is the 4th superstar forward to make the all-conference selection. The sophomore is from Anaheim, CA. She has scored 7 goals and chipped in 4 more assists.

The #1 ranked Chargers will open up the playoffs on Saturday November 23rd at 2:00pm. They will host the winner of the Thursday's play in game between Mt. San Antonio College and College of the Canyons.
