Women's Basketball will Host Ventura College for the Second Round of Playoffs

CYPRESS, CA- Cypress women's basketball (21-7, 9-3 OEC) will be hosting the Second Round of the CCCAA playoffs against Ventura College (20-8, 8-4 WSC). 

The Women's basketball program has made the playoffs for over a decade and will compete again this season. In Brittany Imaku's first year as Head Coach for Cypress, she has led the Chargers to a 21-7 record and second place in the Orange Empire Conference. The program saw four players earn conference honors: Jaylene Oviedo made the Second-Team, Jasmine Uy and Alexcia Alvarez were named to the First-Team and Ashley Hawkins shared MVP accolades, won Best Offensive Player and was selected to the First-Team. 

Cypress bypassed the First Round of the CCCAA playoffs and will face off against Ventura College in the Second Round. The Chargers are ranked #5 in the postseason bracket while the Pirates are the #12 seed. The Chargers and Coach Imaku are preparing for a successful playoff push to back their impressive regular season. The Ventura Pirates will visit Don Johnson Court on Saturday, February 25th with tip-off at 7pm.   

DETAILS: Per CCCAA regulations, tickets will be $12 for Adults and $8 for Youth/Students/Seniors 55+.
