MohrHoops Summer Basketball Camp

MohrHoops Summer Basketball Camp

Updated 07/30/2020

A message from Coach Mohr:

"Mohr hoop campers,

With disappointment but with the realization that safety is most important, we are cancelling Mohrhoops camp for this summer due to Covid-19. We are sorry that we will be unable to teach the game of basketball and have fun together. Keep practicing hard on your own and know that we look forward to seeing you at one of our future camps. Please stay safe and healthy!

Cypress College women's basketball coach, Margaret Mohr, is hosting her 22nd annual "MohrHoops" summer basketball camp. This year's camps are scheduled for July 13th-July 17th and August 10th-August 14th. Boys and girls ages 7-14 can participate in either Monday-Friday session. All camp participants will receive a camp t-shirt, jersey, basketball, player evaluation, and other prizes.

REGISTRATION FORM HERE

Camp registration will be done in a drop off format. We are not taking mail-in registration. We ask that campers and/or their friends drop off the completed applications on either of these two dates: Saturday June 13, 1:30pm – 3:30pm and Saturday July 11 1:30pm – 3:30pm at Cypress College parking lot 5. We will be practicing physical distancing and we ask that campers and families do not get out of the car and drop it in the boxes provided. We are asking for full payment of $200 but we will not deposit the check until the camp takes place. We ask that campers who are coming to both camps make a separate check for each camp.

The camp staff will consist of current and former community college, Division 3, Division 2, and Division 1 athletes. The MohrHoops camp has become a favorite for young people passionate about basketball and has sold out the past four summers.

Coach Mohr has experience at the high school, community college, NCAA, and WNBA levels totaling over 30 years of experience. Mohr played at Long Beach State on a basketball scholarship and led her team to the Final Four in 1987. She was inducted into the Long Beach state Hall of Fame in 2011.
