Sophomore guard Vivian Lara poured in a team-high 22 points on 7-of-17 shooting, while grabbing 8 rebounds and 5 steals on the night. Freshman center Hannah Avila-McArthur added 14 points and 9 rebounds for the Lady Chargers.

The Pirates' Sydney Driggs finished with a game-high 23 points, knocking down 6-of-10 three-pointers, to go along with 8 rebounds.

The Lady Chargers dominated from inside the paint, as they have for much of the season, outscoring the Pirates 34-12. Cypress also outrebounded Coast 52-35, leading to 16 second chance points.

The Pirates trailed by just one point at the end of the opening frame, before Cypress took control with a 17-8 run in the second quarter. Coast was never able to recover as the Lady Chargers continued to extend their lead in the second half.

Women's basketball will return to action at home on Wednesday night when they take on the Riverside City College Tigers at 7:00pm in Gym II.
