CYPRESS, CA – Sophomore guard Alyssa Movchan has earned Charger of the Week (Dec. 5-11) after leading the Chargers to a third place finish at the LA Valley Tournament. Movchan becomes only the sixth student-athlete in school history to win the award as both a freshman and sophomore.

Movchan was selected to the All-Tournament Team with an average of 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game as they finished 2-1 in the tournament. She recorded a career-high 27 points, including 6 made three-pointers, in the 63-72 loss to Ventura College in the tournament semi-final.

The Cerritos High School alumna and 2016 All-OEC selection is second on the team in scoring (9.5ppg) and assists (2.3apg) this season. Be sure to come out and support the Lady Chargers this season as they defend their Orange Empire Conference Championship.
