Cypress, CA – Freshman point guard Dominique Culhno is the first Charger of the Week of 2016 (Dec. 28 – Jan. 3) after her stellar performance at the Grossmont Tournament.
Culhno led the Chargers to a first place finish at the tournament and was named MVP with an average of 14.67 points, six rebounds, and three steals over the course of three games.
Culhno began the tournament with a 12 point, two assist, and two steal performance in the Chargers 79-75 victory over Citrus. She followed that up with 19 points, eight rebounds, and six steals in the 72-59 win over Barstow College. Culhno capped off the tournament with 13 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks in the 73-66 Championship victory over Santa Ana.
The St. Joseph alumna leads the team in scoring at 11.9 PPG and is second in steals at 1.9 SPG.
