CYPRESS, Calif. --- The Cypress Athletics department is proud to announce that former guard Samantha Soria (2011-2013) has signed a basketball scholarship for Azusa Pacific University.
Soria played two seasons for the Lady Chargers and was a key component in helping Cypress College win back to back Orange Empire Conference Championships in 2012 & 2013.
In 2012-13, Soria was third on the team in scoring (10.8 ppg), and second on the team in both assists per game (3.0) and steals per game (2.0).
"We are so happy for Sam fulfilling her dream of playing college basketball, especially after her injury at Cypress," said head coach Margaret Mohr. "Her hard work & perseverance paid off."
