CYPRESS, Calif. --- The Chargers went into halftime with a seven point lead and never looked back.  Cypress shut the door early on the Tigers in the second half and eventually walked off their home court with a 21 point victory over Riverside College, 88-67.

The Chargers shot 55% from the field compared to Riverside's 41% shooting night.  On top of that, Cypress dominated the boards all night on both ends of the floor.

Haley Gorman ended up dropping 25 points and added nine rebounds to her totals.  

Denshay Wallace recorded her fifth double-double of the season, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Chargers while Ruby Nichols put up a new season high of 15 points. 

Katey Kanamoto's 12 points and Megan Hanson's six assists were the other notable highlights of the night for the Lady Chargers. 

Cypress is now 15-12 overall with a 6-4 conference record with two games left in conference.

The Chargers find themselves in third place in the current OEC standings with a possibility to still finish in first place.

Cypress will need to take care of business on the road vs. the second ranked Saddleback Gauchos on Thursday night, February 13.  

Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
