Fullerton, Calif. ---  The Lady Chargers lost their third OEC game of the season on Wednesday night to the Fullerton Hornets, 50-64.

The Lady Chargers found themselves down seven at the half to a team they defeated by 37 points at home back on January 10th of this year.

Despite winning the rebounding battle, the Cypress Chargers had a hard time finding the bottom of the net.  Cypress shot 26% on the night and Fullerton had one of their best shooting nights of the year, shooting 52% and going 13-25 in the second half.

Haley Gorman and Denshay Wallace led the Chargers in scoring with 10 points a piece while Katey Kanamoto followed right behind them with eight points of her own.

Lauren Hong recorded four steals for the Chargers and grabbed eight rebounds in the contest.

The Cypress loss sets up a great matchup against Orange Coast on Friday night.  The Chargers have an opportunity to jump back into second place in the conference standings with a victory over the Pirates.

The Chargers defeated Orange Coast in Costa Mesa back on January 15 by a score of 49-45. The Chargers and the Pirates are set to tip off at 5:30 PM, this Friday, February 7.

Cypress is now 14-11 overall on the season and 5-3 in conference play.
