CYPRESS, Calif. --- Haley Gorman of the Cypress Women's Basketball team has been named the Nov. 10-17 "Charger Athlete of the Week".
Gorman averaged 20 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2 blocks per game during the San Jacinto Tournament last weekend, leading the Lady Chargers to a third place finish out of eight teams and a (2-1) record throughout the three games played.
Gorman's most impressive game came on Nov. 15 vs. Chaffey College. Gorman scored 28 points on 66% shooting, (12-18). On top of the outstanding shooting percentage, she also managed to grab 17 rebounds and blocked three Chaffey shots in the contest.
Gorman also went 25 for 49 throughout the three games, shooting a solid 51% from the field.
The Lady Chargers will be competing again this weekend when they travel up north to the Merced Tournament.
