New Decade, Same Dominance, Chargers Roll 10-0

Cypress, CA- The Cypress college softball team opened up their season on Thursday afternoon in dominating fashion. The defending OEC Champs hosted the Chaffey Panthers (1-5) and beat them 10-0 in five innings.

The Chargers scored one run in the first inning, but they did their damage in the second. Jordan Thompson got it started singling to right field, and was knocked in by Camryn Addimando. Mackenzie Cook hit a line drive to right field and came all the way around to score notching the first Charger home run of the season. Cypress would go on to score 7 runs in the second inning and get out to an early 8-0 lead. Eliza Sandoval started the game and pitched three innings giving up no hits and striking out three in dominating fashion.

Up Next: Cypress softball will host three games in the next two days. Tomorrow, Friday February 7th, the Chargers will take on Long Beach City. First pitch will be at 1pm.
