CYPRESS, CA – Freshman Destiny Vasquez has earned Charger of the Week (Feb. 6-12) after leading the No. 3 Chargers over Pasadena City College and Long Beach City College.

Vasquez (2-0) pitched 5.1 innings, while allowing just 2 hits as she struck out 8 batters in a 7-2 win over Pasadena City. She also knocked in a run as she went 3-for-3 at the plate. Two days later Vasquez picked up her third win of the season as she allowed only two hits over 7 innings while striking out 5 batters in a 7-0 victory over Long Beach City College.

The Gahr High School alumna is the first member of the softball team to receive Charger of the Week this season.
