No. 4 Chargers Softball Fall to Fullerton, 3-2
Cypress - The Chargers softball team (4-1, 0-1 OEC) took their first loss of the season to open up OEC play against Fullerton (3-2, 1-0 OEC) on Wednesday afternoon. 
Fullerton got on the board first with a run in the top of the second inning. Cypress followed that with two runs of their own in the bottom of the second to take an early 2-1 lead. The Chargers couldn't keep it going from the plate and were unable to score for the remainder of the game. Fullerton was able to score the tying run in the top of the fifth inning and another run in the seventh to win the game 3-2. 
Brigid Ruiz (2-1, 1-0 OEC) collected the win for Fullerton after giving up zero hits in her three innings pitched. Ruiz also led the Hornets with three hits, including one RBI, in four at bats.
The Chargers will look to bounce back on the road when they take on Citrus at 2:30 pm on Thursday, Feb. 12, followed by another OEC match-up against Santa Ana at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
