CYPRESS, Calif. --- The Lady Chargers moved one step closer towards a state championship this past weekend when they defeated #15 Grossmont College (8-4, 8-0).

The second seeded Cypress Chargers will now prepare for their next task at hand which starts at 2:00 PM this Friday vs. the #7 Saddleback College Gauchos.

#3 College of the Desert and #6 Mt. San Antonio College will also face off at Cypress College this weekend, starting shortly after the Cypress vs. Saddleback matchup at 2:00 PM on Friday.

The double elimination process will take place throughout the full weekend with the Super Regional Championship game taking place on Sunday, May 11.

Cypress went 1-2 vs. the Gauchos in 2014 but defeated Saddleback most recently by a score of 12-3 back on April 22nd.
