CYPRESS, Calif. --- It was announced this past weekend that Khailey Campos (First Team), Mylee Macahilig, Desiree Lopez and Alendrina Pichardo (Second Team), would be awarded with All-Orange Empire Conference honors.

Campos finished the regular season with a .449 batting average and also managed to crush three home runs in her outstanding season with the Chargers.  Khailey led the team in at bats (136) and also drove in 21 runs for Cypress in 2014.  One of her best games of the season happened on February 18, 2014 vs. Rio Hondo.  Campos went 4 for 4 on the day and drove in one run for the Lady Chargers.  Khailey also scored two runs of her own and managed to hit a single, double and a triple in the Chargers 7-1 rout over the Roadrunners.

Macahilig ened up hitting .397 throughout the regular season and similar to Campos, she also drove in 21 runs for the Lady Chargers in 2014.  Macahilig stepped up for the Chargers in numerous games throughout the year and continued to keep Cypress alive in a lot of their close contests. Mylee also recorded six triples in 2014 which happened to be a team high.

Pichardo led the team in home runs with eight on the year and also led the Lady Chargers with an impressive batting average of .468.  Alendrina recorded 38 RBI's in 2014 which also happened to be a team best and ended up finishing the regular season with a SLG % of .774.

Lopez won 18 games on the mound this season for the Lady Chargers and managed to finish the season with an impressive ERA of 2.98.  Desiree had the second most wins in the Orange Empire Conference and only fell short by one game in the win column to Carly Wade from Santiago Canyon. 

Desiree Lopez also ended up striking out a total of 107 batters this season for the Cypress Chargers.

Cypress continues their season vs. Grossmont College on Saturday, May 3, in round one of the state playoffs.
