CYPRESS, Calif. --- Alejandra Guillen doubled in the bottom of the sixth inning for the Chargers, driving in Khailey Campos, Kathy Villa and Lilyanne Waldo for the 10-3 lead. Guillen then went on to score after Makia Hasting's double and the Chargers defeated the Rustlers for the second time this season, 11-3.
Before the stellar sixth inning, Mylee Macahilig scored a run in the fourth, Jessica Gutierrez scored a run in the third and Guillen scored a run for the Chargers in the bottom of the second inning.
Chelsee Herron ended the day going 2 for 3 for Cypress with an RBI to go along with her impressive all around performance.
Christiana Viayra and Jessica Gutierrez both recorded stolen bases in today's game as well, aiding the Chargers in their eight run victory.
Cypress now stands alone as the number four team in the OEC standings.
The Chargers (27-11, 11-8) host Saddleback College on Tuesday, April 22, with first pitch at 3:00 PM.
