CYPRESS, Calif. --- The Santa Ana Dons scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to come back and defeat Cypress on their home field by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday afternoon.

It looked as if the Chargers were going to win the game when Mylee Macahilig hit a triple to right field in the bottom of the six inning.  Macahilig drove in three Chargers for the 6-3 advantage and the Chargers felt like they were going to close the season series on the Dons.

Alyssa Yglesias ended up scoring the fourth run of the seventh inning off a single from Karina Rosas and the Dons eventually defeated Cypress, 7-6.

Macahilig was the main standout for Cypress on Wednesday afternoon, going 3 for 4 with three RBI's in the contest.

Khailey Campos also continued to deliver for the Lady Chargers.  Campos went 3 for 4, drove in a run and even scored a run of her own.

The loss puts Cypress at 23-10 overall with a 9-7 record in the Orange Empire Conference.

The Chargers have five conference games left in the season to make some noise and move up in the standings.  They will have to bounce back and defeat Orange Coast this Friday at home in order to move up in the OEC standings.  The Chargers defeated the Pirates back on March 19, 2014 by a score of 12-0.

First pitch is set for 2:00 PM on Friday, April 11.
