CYPRESS, Calif. --- Alendrina Pichardo from the Cypress College Softball program has been named the March 23-March 30, 2014 "Charger Athlete of the Week."

Pichardo went 11 for 22 over the six games played throughout the week and helped the Chargers win five out of six games from March 23-March 30.

Alendrina drove in nine runs for the Chargers and hit a home run in back to back games at the Ventura Tournament.  The two home runs helped lift the Chargers to victories over Ventura (11-2) and Allen Hancock (11-0).  Pichardo now leads the team with six home runs thus far in the 2014 season.

Pichardo has been consistent all season, leading her team with an AVG of .458, OBP % of .518 and a SLG % of .750.

The Chargers take on Santa Ana College at home in their next game, April 9, with first pitch at 3:00 PM.
