CYPRESS, Calif. --- The Tigers jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead and never looked back, eventually defeating the Lady Chargers by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Cypress closed the gap in the bottom of the third inning when Khailey Campos scored off of an Alendrina Pichardo single to right field, but the Chargers had a hard time getting on base from that point forward.

Pichardo continued her excellent hitting streak, going 2 for 3 on the day with an RBI for the Lady Chargers while Chelsee Herron earned her 30th RBI of the year when she hit a single to left field in the bottom of the sixth inning, driving in Monique Martinez for her 20th run in 2014.

The loss puts Cypress at 22-8 overall with a 8-6 conference record thus far in 2014.

The Lady Chargers will look to get back on track when they face off against the Hornets in Fullerton on Friday, April 4.

First pitch is set for 2:00 PM.
