Citrus dethroned Chargers 9-0

Cypress, CA - The Chargers' offense was limited to two hits and lost their bid to advance into the Super Regionals to defend their State title. Citrus on the other hand was clicking on all cylinders, scoring six runs in the top of the thrid inning to break the game wide opened. Kawehi Ephan started the thrd inning reaching first base on a fielder's choice and scored Victoria Baltazar to start the rally. The Owls went to fundamentals to produced six singles and scored six times. The Owls' defense did not allow anything going by and made some spetacular catches in the outfield.

The quest for a 4-Peat came to an end for the Chargers who won State titles in 2010, 2011, and 2012. There will be a new champion in this decade in the State of California.
