CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College men's tennis team will enter the season ranked No. 3 in Southern California, according to the ITA CCCAA Southern California Men's Tennis Preseason Poll.

The Chargers' tennis program has struggled over the past few seasons, but that is changing quickly under first year head coach Jeff Benito. The team is fielding 3 individuals ranked in the preseason top 10, along with 3 doubles teams ranked in the top 10.

Max Blancaneaux will open the year as the preseason No. 1 for Southern California. "He has worked tremendously hard this entire fall and I know he will be ready to help lead our team this Spring," said Coach Benito. No. 4 Vincent Reynaud and No. 7 Thomas Kyle joined Blancaneux in the top 10. Ingmar Remmerswaal and Devin Bowler were ranked No. 19 and No. 27, respectively.

The tandem of Blancaneaux/Reynaud will start the season ranked the No. 2 doubles team in Southern California followed by Kyle/Remmerswaal at No. 3. The Chargers have not had 4 Individuals and 3 doubles teams appear in the preseason rankings since 2010.
