Cypress Chargers Men’s Soccer: A Historic Season to Remember
Program Milestone: First Playoff Win
CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress Chargers Men's Soccer team wrapped up an exciting 2024 season, finishing with an overall record of 8-7-8 and a 5-3-6 record in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play. The Chargers placed fourth in the highly competitive OEC standings, capping the season with a historic milestone: their first-ever playoff victory in program history. The team's memorable postseason run ended in the second round of the 3C2A SoCal Regionals.
The Chargers etched their name into program history with a groundbreaking playoff victory against Santa Ana College on November, 20.
Several Chargers received All-OEC honors for their exceptional contributions throughout the season:
- First Team: Freshmen Issac Morales and Frank Troya
- Second Team: Freshman Alex Gomez and Sophomore Jack Yeager
Issac Morales was a standout for the Chargers, ranking fifth in the OEC in goals with 8 and tying for second in assists with 6.
