CYPRESS, CA – The Orange Empire Conference has released the All-Conference teams for men's soccer for the 2022 season. Cypress has six selections; Logan Garcia, Braulio Morales and Julio Perez being named to the first team while RJ Carroll, Kyle O'Brien and Jack Yeager were named to the second team.
Braulio Morales - Midfielder
Missing only one start, Braulio Morales was named to the All-Conference First Team for his first award from the OEC. Playing in every game in the 2022 season, the Captain midfielder was perfect in penalty kicks going 3 for 3 and had a .500 percentage with shots on goal scoring five.
Julio Perez - Winger
Julio Perez was named to his second consecutive OEC All-Conference Team honors. After his Second Team award in the previous season, Perez was named to the First Team for the 2022 season. The winger led the team in scoring with seven goals and 18 points total for the season.
Logan Garcia - Left Back
Cypress's Captain Logan Garcia earns his first All-Conference First Team honors. His defensive play at left back helped the Chargers shutout six opponents with four being conference games. He was second in assists with seven and had a game winning goal as a defender.
Kyle O'Brien - Center Back
For his second year in a row, Kyle O'Brien was awarded OEC All-Conference Second Team honors. In 2022, the Sophomore center back's consistent impressive defensive play was recognized once again. O'Brien helped lead the team to the playoffs while also pressuring the net with six shots on the year.
Jack Yeager - Right Back
In his first season with the Cypress Chargers, Jack Yeager earns All-Conference Second Team award. The freshman right back only missed one game throughout the season and played exceptionally well in conference games. Yeager's defense aided in four conference game shutouts along with his four shots with two shots on goal.
RJ Carroll - Center Back
RJ Carroll has been named to the Second Team for the OEC All-Conference honors. The sophomore center back played in every game this season and helped the team make the postseason. As a defender, he had one shot on goal which landed in the net and had an assist on the year.
