CYPRESS, CA – Chargers forward Christian Supancic of men's soccer has earned the first Charger of the Week (Aug. 29-Sept. 4) of the 2016-17 season after an outstanding performance in his Cypress debut last Friday.
Supancic was sidelined due to injury the first two games of the season before making an appearance off the bench at home on Friday against College of the Canyons. The sophomore standout netted two goals on four shots in limited action to lead the Chargers to a 3-0 victory over the Cougars.
The 6'1 Anaheim High School alumnus is expected to move into the starting lineup and become a consistent offensive threat for the Chargers this season.
