Three Men's Soccer Players Named to All-Conference Team

The Orange Empire Conference named three Chargers from the Cypress men's soccer program to the 2015 All-Orange Empire Conference team. Freshman Arturo Olivo earned his way to the All-Conference first team while sophomore Sergio Avila and freshman Hugo Toledo were listed on the second team.

Arturo Olivo scored only one goal and created one assist, but his contributions to the team cannot be measured by statistics. Olivo played a key role in helping the Chargers win the ball, maintain possession, and give the offense freedom to move forward. His presence not only affected the midfield, but the defense and forwards as well.

Midfielder Sergio Avila was recognized for his blistering pace and relentless pursuit to bring the ball to the attacking half. Scoring two goals and four assists, Avila's runs at the wing position opened up space for the forwards and generated great looks at the goal.

Freshman Hugo Toledo served to be a valuable defender for the team this season, putting himself in position to stifle the opposing forwards. The Garden Grove alumnus is known for his hustle and toughness, never wanting to give the offense any space to attack.
