CYPRESS, CA- The Cypress College men's golf team hosted the first OEC match of the season at Navy G.C. The Chargers finished on top with a score of 362, and the first place medalist, Panos Pantazopoulos, who shot a tournament high 69.
Cypress golf has kicked off 2020 in dominant fashion winning four of their first six tournaments. Panos Pantazopoulos shot his best round of golf in his young Cypress career and rallied the Chargers to a 6 stroke victory over 2nd place Irvine Valley, who shot a team score of 368. Cypress had its five scoring players all shoot 74 or better. Pantazopoulos saw himself finish 3 strokes ahead of all other players in an encouraging effort. Luke Bartram along with 3 others shot a 72 at Navy G.C tied for the second best score of the afternoon.
