SAN JACINTO, CA – The Cypress College men's golf team has gone back to playing elite-level golf as of late. The defending CCCAA State Champions have won their last three tournaments, including Friday's Eagle Classic at Soboba Springs Country Club.
The Chargers bested second place Palomar by two strokes with a team score of 376. Freshman Matthew Wotherspoon led the Chargers, shooting a 2-over par 73, while sophomore Ying-Shih Chang helped pace Cypress with a 3-over par 74.
David Marris (75), Thomas Chung (76), and Panos Pantazopoulos (78) helped the Chargers secure their third first place finish of the season.
