Men's Golf Rounds Out Top-5 at SoCal Preview

OCEANSIDE, CA – The Cypress College men's golf team had a solid showing at the Southern California Preview at El Camino Country Club (Par 72) on Monday morning. The Chargers finished 5th overall out of the 19 participating Southern California teams.

"We haven't been playing consistent golf lately, but when we play consistently we have played better than any team in Southern California. The guys know they can do this if they all play well. They are all capable of shooting in the red," said Coach Dana Berdard.

Dylan Hall and Andreas Thanning each shot 4 over par (76) to lead the Chargers. The Chargers will use this as a learning experience in their quest to win the Orange Empire Conference. Cypress is currently third in the OEC standings, just 1 win back of first place.

Men's golf will return to conference action on March 27 at Victoria Golf Course.
