Men's Golf Grabs 2nd Place in OEC Opener

SEAL BEACH, CA – The Cypress College men's golf team finished 2nd out of 6 teams in their home Orange Empire Conference opener at Navy Golf Course (Par 72).

The Chargers shot a 366 which landed them in a first place tie with Orange Coast. The Chargers placed second after losing the tiebreaker to Orange Coast. Sophomore Dylan Hall led the way for the Chargers as he shot an impressive 68 (-4) on the day to take home the individual first place medal. Freshman George Bris was second on the Chargers as he shot a 72 on the day to finish one stroke outside the medals in a tie for fourth place. Freshman Matthew Rafter and freshman Andrew Thomson both finished one stroke behind Bris as they both shot a 73 (-1) on the day.

Golf will return to action at Tijeras Creek on Wednesday, March 15. Tee time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
