Cypress Golf Dominates at Costa Mesa Country Club

Costa Mesa, CA – The Cypress College golf team finished first at the Costa Mesa Country Club  (par 72) on Wednesday. Dylan Hall finished four under par (68) to help lead the Chargers to victory, keeping them in the hunt for an Orange Empire Conference title.

Cypress shot 365 as a team, defeating each of their five opponents by at least nine strokes. Alongside Hall's performance, the Chargers saw strong play from Alec Montalbo, who shot an even par (72), and Claudio Phillips (73).

The Chargers are playing their best golf at the right time of the season. "We are finally starting to play consistent golf and our players are starting to believe in themselves.  If our #5 and #6 players get on board we can take this thing" said Coach Bedard. The victory puts the Chargers in a tie for second, just seven points behind the Orange Coast College Pirates with four matches remaining.
