Golf Remains in Third Despite Struggles at Eagle Classic

Eagle Golf Classic Results

San Jacinto, CA - The Chargers golf team finished fifth (1-4) in the Eagle Golf Classic at Soboba Springs Country Club.

In great playing conditions the Chargers struggled with the exception of Claudio Phillips who fired a 76 on the par 72 and finished 6th overall amongst 15 teams. "We still have some guys that aren't performing the way they do  in practice," said coach Bedard. "They need to start contributing and playing the way they do in practice rounds."

Despite recent struggles, the Chargers remain in 3rd place three matches into OEC play. The next match for men's golf is a non-conference tournament at Victoria Country Club in Riverside on Wednesday, March 2 at 11:00 am.
