CYPRESS, Calif. --- Spencer Wilde from the Charger Golf program has been named the April 13-20, 2014 "Charger Athlete of the Week."

Wilde bounced back from his +12 at the Victoria GC and ended up shooting a season best (68) a week later at the Green River Golf Course on April 16.

His score of (-4) marked the third best score of the day out of the 35 OEC golfers that competed in the tournament.

Recently, Wilde led the Chargers in the OEC Tournament on Monday, April 28.  Spencer shot one under par (73) in the AM round and a one under par (71) in the PM round of the Conference Tournament at the Los Serranos Golf Course in Chino Hills.

Spencer has averaged a 73 up until this point in the season as he continues to climb the ladder as one of the most elite Orange Empire Conference golfers.

Wilde is now set to compete in the CCCAA Men's Golf Southern Regional Championships on May 5 at the StoneRidge Country Club in Poway, CA.
