CYPRESS, CA - Cypress men's basketball (6-9, 1-2 OEC) falls to district-rival Fullerton College (12-3, 3-0 OEC), 59-47.
The Chargers opened the new year against cross-town rivals, Fullerton College on Don Johnson Court. Off the bench, Ja'Shawn Chisel scored back-to-back 3-pointers which gave the Chargers the lead over the Hornets within the first six minutes of the game. As both teams battled, the Fullerton Hornets were able to push out the lead to end the half, 28-20. At the half, Allen Wright was able to muscle his way into the paint to try and bring Cypress back into the game. However, the Hornets managed to stay ahead and pull out a 12 point victory, 59-47.
