Nolan Kelly Signs With Cal State San Bernardino

CYPRESS, CA – Sophomore guard Nolan Kelly has accepted a scholarship offer to play at NCAA Division II California State University San Bernardino next season. Kelly started 50 games for the Chargers during the last two seasons with career averages of 11 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. "I think CSUSB is a really good fit for me and I want to make an immediate impact there," said Kelly.

Nolan Kelly began his college career as a greyshirt at IVC where Coach Alhadeff was an assistant coach, but Kelly chose to transfer to Cypress after Alhadeff was named head coach of the Chargers prior to the 2014-15 season. "With all of the work he's put in he deserves this…I'm really proud of his development on and off the court," Said Coach Alhadeff. The All-OEC Second Team selection was one of the key contributors in turning around the men's basketball program as he helped lead the Chargers to a 22-7 overall record last season. "I'm going to miss the family atmosphere and the coaching staff here at Cypress…Coach Drew believed in me for all three years I worked with him," said Kelly.

Kelly's tremendous athleticism and three-point shooting  ability should help make him a successful player at the next level. The CSUSB Coyotes finished with a 9-15 overall record, while going 6-14 in the CCAA last season.
