Cypress, CA. -- The Chargers faced a strong Santa Ana team in the second half of Friday nights "Legends of Hoops" celebration. Cypress could not keep up with the Dons and capped off the season with an 80-72 loss.

Cypress started off the game strong and kept the score close. At the half the score was 33-30 in favor of Santa Ana.

Throughout the second half the Chargers fell behind by as much as 15 points before coming back to close the Santa Ana lead to eight by the end of regulation, 80-72.

The Chargers finish off the season tied for last in the conference with Fullerton with a record of 2-10. They finished the season with a 7-20 record overall.

David Gonzalez finishes the season with a 21.4 ppg average. That average ties with former Charger Tyrone Branyan from the 1975-76 season at #1 for season scoring average.
