Chargers fell to OCC 89-74 in season finale

Costa Mesa, CA - The Chargers fell to the Pirates 89-74 in the season finale at Orange Coast College. The Chargers finished the season winless in the conference for the first time since the 2002-03 season, marking exactly a decade ago. Similar then, the Chargers were depleted with injuries and academics that first year Coach Chris St Clair played with a team made up with guards only.

One bright moment this season was Devon Potts, a transfer from Cal State Northridge who led the conference in scoring with 20ppg. Potts also broke the school record for most free throws set by Eric Pauley in 1994. Pauley's record was 14 free throws made, Potts made 17.

With several players redshirting, the return of some key players, and St Clair's bright recruiting trail, the outlook for th 2013-14 season appears to be on the upswing.
