Chargers Bounce Back with a 3-2 Victory Against the Moorpark Raiders

Cypress, CA – The Cypress Chargers (1-1) hosted the Moorpark Raiders (1-3) on Tuesday afternoon in the second game of the season. The Chargers bounced back after losing their season opener with a 3-2 walk-off victory. 

Brenden Harris, Nathan Jackle and Isaac Rodriguez each got one hit, but Mario Tostado would lead the team with two hits which including the walk-off winner. Noah Karliner led the team with two RBI's. Nick Bautista pitched three innings and only allowed two hits with zero earned runs and three strikeouts. 

After a 0-0 game through five innings, Karliner got the party started with a two RBI triple in the bottom of the sixth. The Raiders would answer back with two quick scores in the top of the seventh inning to knot the game up at 2. In dramatic fashion, Tostado secured the walk-off RBI at the bottom of the ninth inning as he hit a missle off the center field wall to give the Chargers their first victory of the season, 3-2.

UP NEXT: The Chargers will hit the road for the College of the Desert tournament this weekend. Their first game will be Thursday, February 3rd, at 2 p.m.
