Sophomore Cypress College baseball standout Dominic Campeau was awarded his first Charger of the Week this season during Wednesday's practice.

Campeau helped lead the Chargers to four wins, extending the team's winning streak to eight games. The Chargers offense was overwhelming, as they have been so far this season. Cypress currently leads the CCCAA with 162 hits and ranks second in the CCCAA with 119 RBI, 135 runs scored, and a .331 AVG.

Campeau, who leads the CCCAA in RBI's (29), hit an outstanding .474 AVG with 13 RBI and a grand slam during the Chargers' four game stretch last week. His best performance came in a 16-3 victory over Allan Hancock College on Thursday. The El Modena High School alumnus went 5-for-5 with 8 RBI, 2 doubles, and a grand slam.

Cypress baseball currently holds Southern California's No. 3 ranking and are gearing up to begin Orange Empire Conference play next week.
