FULLERTON, CA - Former Cypress College baseball standout Andrew Quezada, who accepted a scholarship offer from Cal State Fullerton after the 2017 season, has been named to D1Baseball.com's 2018 Draft: College Top 100 Prospects List, the publication announced on Wednesday.

D1Baseball's list breaks down the top college prospects heading into the 2018 college baseball season in regards to their projection in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft in June. Quezada rounded out the list at No. 100.

While at Cypress College, he was the ace of the Chargers' pitching rotation, compiling a 1.17 ERA his sophomore season, the lowest in Charger baseball history. Quezada finished his two-year career at Cypress ranked first all-time in complete games (9), second all-time in wins (19), and recorded the only no-hitter in program history.

Before attending Cypress College, he played three years of varsity baseball for Mayfair High School. He obtained all-league shortstop honors in 2013, all-league utility player status in 2014, and was named the Suburban League's Pitcher of the Year in 2015.

According to fullertontitans.com, Quezada figures to hold a key role in this year's Cal State Fullerton pitching rotation as the Titans hope to make yet another return trip to Omaha. The Titans have been nationally ranked in each of the first two preseason polls.
