Chargers defeated Santa Ana 9-2 in home finale

Cypress, CA - The Chargers' pitching allowed no walk which made the difference in the game. The Dons (20-14, 7-13) allowed Cypress only 5 hits but walked 13 Chargers. The games was relatively closed with the Chargers leading 4-2 after 7 and 1/2 innings and held to 2 hits at that point. The Chargers (23-12, 11-9) erupted for 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th to put the game away. Tyler Schultz, Nick Rogowski and Robert Chavarria all walked to start the inning. Jacob MacWilliam singled to score Schultz and Rogowski. Jonathan Torres bunt singled to load the bases, Blake Davey singled o drive in 2 runs. The 5th run of the inning was scored by Torres on Sam Tolleson's fielder's choice. Winning pitcher Ryan Hartman threw for 7 and 1/3 inning, allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs.
