Chargers evened conference record after victory over OCC

Cypress, CA - The Chargers-Pirates offensive showdown featured 26 hits, 8 extra base hits and 17 runs scored in 11 innings. In the end, the Chargers squeaked by with a walk-off hit by Jacob WcWilliam who went 3-for-6 and scored a run. Robert Chavarria also went 3-for-6, swinging his 6th double of season with an RBI. After falling at Saddleback in the conference opener, the Chargers knew that they must produce to gain some ground. Should they start the conference 0-2, it would have been much more difficult with the competition. The Chargers are now 1-1 in conference and won 7-of-last-8.
